working with event PresentationNewSlide (XP SP1)

    Hello everybody!

I have a simple question, but I fear the answer is not simple at all. I found out that both copying a slide and creating a new slide (Ctrl-M) cause the PresentationNewSlide-event. Somehow I need to find out how this event was raised, by copying or by creating a new slide. Is there any way to do so?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Kind regards, Porley

There is no built-in way to distinguish creating a new slide from copying an existing slide, or importing an existing slide from another presentation. You could check whether the slide (passed in the Sld argument of PresentationNewSlide) has any content; if not, it is probably a new slide. But this is not water tight, of course.

    Hello Hans!

Thanks for the idea. It seems that it fits my needs for most of the cases.

    Kind regards, Porley
