    Printing in Color (XP Home w/SP2)

    Running XP Home with SP2 installed
    Using HP OfficeJet G85xi multifunction printer
    Scenario...2 users both with Admin. Status, User no. 1 prints and everything is fine, colors O.K. ...User no. 2 prints and everything comes out monochrome (grayscale)

    Get user #2 to check through her/his Start => "Printers and Faxes" list.
    Highlight the offending printer, and check
    a) File => Printing Preferences
    [img]/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif[/img] File => Properties
    in all the tabs that each gives for anything that might do "print colours as grey-scale" (or similar wording).

    These tabs and settings vary according to printer, but my DeskJet 990cxi has a tick-box marked "Color, Print in Grayscale" in Printing Preferences => Advanced. (Sorry about the american spelling...).
