Formating dates in footer (Excel 2003 Win XP)

I don't see how to change the default format for dates that I have placed in the footer. Can you help?

The footer (as does the header) uses the default window format. (that is changeable via start - control panel - date/time/regional settings, but this affects many programs, not just excel)

You could use a macro on the BeforePrint event (this will add to center header). Change as desired

Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean)
Dim sht
For Each sht In ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets
sht.PageSetup.CenterHeader = Format(Date, "dd-mmm-yyyy")
Next
End Sub
