Too many lines in PT?? (Excel 2000)

My Pivot Table has a data source of only 2700 rows an perhaps 13 or so columns. Prior to now it has always refreshed correctly. Now, I get that arguement about too many rows etc. Why would it suddenly do that with so few rows and a history of working correctly? thanks.

See Limits of PivotTables in Excel. Could it be that the product of the number of items in the column fields has just exceeded 32,768?

What have you done in trouble shooting this problem?
Have you checked the source list using the pivot table wizard. Verify that it is using the list range correctly?
Ensure that there is no hidden data in rows below the list, or a formula that has been copied to the bottom of the sheet....
