    REALLLY {Private} fields (word/XP)

    This is a heads-up unverified finding.

    I think there are at least two different "Type" values for the Private field.

    Some recent code had to tally fields by document; I wrote a one-off loop i=1to255 to match field types to the actual code. Private showed itself as "73", and I duly entered that in my lookup array. The subsequent analysis of documents indicated a slew of unmatched fields of Type=1, and those appeared as Private fields.
    My guess is that Private fields that arise from reading WordPerfect files into Word97 are assigned a Type=1, whereas the Word standard for Private fields is Type=73.
    Perhaps this is due to 3rd-party converters not knowing/caring about Word standards.

    You are right. I mis-pasted the code. Next time I run the job I'll disable the Type=1 and trap a document for you.

    According to the Object Browser in my Word 2002:
    73 = wdFieldTOA
    77 = wdFieldPrivate
    I don't have any converted WP documents at my disposal, so I can't test what field types occur there.
