    Re: Tables (Word XP)

The only method I can think of is to use Word's Bookmark and REF field features. This is illustrated in the attached. While you can't use a style to carry over the bookmarked content to a new page, you can save your REF field as AutoText and re-insert it that way.

    Tables (Word XP)

    Hello everyone:

Can anyone please advise me, on the best possible method, for taking a small section of
table grid first paragraph, first page and reusing this particular section in other pages.

I would like to use some type of styles to recall the table automatically.

    Thanks.

    Hello jscher:

You are always behind those dark sun glasses, who are you really? Seriously now, thank you so very much, I will have to look-up ref fields, and apply your technique.

When I email the report, with the ref fields, will they show up? I would much prefer to keep them hidden if possible. Jscher, will the correct margins be applied?

You always deliver on time, much appreciated.

    Re: Tables (Word XP)

The way that most field codes work is that the "results" will display unless the user chooses to show the codes. The key combination Alt+F9 switches back and forth. So it will be possible for the recipient to determine whether you used fields, but normally they will see the intended results rather than the codes that make them work.

Added: By the way, if you are e-mailing using the option that inserts the document into the message body, rather than sending as an attachment, I'm not sure how that affects fields.

    Hello Jscher:

I plan on send the report as a word attachment, I will do a test to see how things workout.

    Thanks alot.

    Re: Tables (Word XP)

    Hello Jscher:

Update: I was able to work out the issues with the Ref fields, I was worried that when I pressed Alt+F9, my excel spreadsheets disappeared. Not realising, this was a normal situation. I was able to get the Auto text to work with the insertion of the tables.

    Thank you very much
