    windows XP task scheduler (XP/home/sp2)

I'm trying to setup my task scheduler for windows XP/home. i know you need to have a password set in order for task scheduler to run automatically. however, by setting a password it now requires me to type in the password every time i log onto my computer. this is a pain, especially being I'm the only one who uses this computer. microsoft says i can correct this by unchecking "users must enter name and password to use this computer". i tried this but it did not work. i still must log in every time. any suggestions?
