    VALUE error (2003)

    Hi Loungers,

The attached file shows #value! errors. Can anyone let me why this is happening and suggest a formula that would correct these errors in K & J and calculate the required data?

I'm sure there is a very simple solution but I've tried a variety of variations to formulas and I can't get it to work correctly.

    Thanks for your help (again!)

    Re: VALUE error (2003)

The formula in cell E13 results in an empty string "". This causes an error in the formula =J13+D13+E13 in cell K13, for + doesn't handle string arguments. The SUM function just ignores string values, so you can get around the problem as follows:
    - In cell K4, enter the formula =SUM(J4,D4,E4)
    - Fill down as far as needed, for example by double clicking the fill handle in the lower right corner of K4.
