    Windows Update

I am running Windows 98SE and have just run Windows Update where I downloaded six critical updates. Subsequently, KB891711 shows up as a running program when I press Ctrl-Alt-Del. No other KB numbers have ever shown up in the list of running programs. What is so special about KB891711 or is this some sort of glitch?

    Have you reboot the machine?

Some updates REQUIRE a reboot before it is completed.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Yes, I have rebooted. However, see Leif's response and link above.

Thank you, interesting link. I wonder when Msoft will do something about it. Fortunately I have not had any of the problems that others have------YET!!
