    Access security, or not....... (2000)

    Hi,

Due to administration on a networked system I am unable to implement effective security.

However I have a field in my main table that obtains the NetUser name from when the person logs into the networked system. In the AfterUpdate event of the Main form, I have:

At the moment there are two people that can enter/edit data, and they both have their own workloads. I

I'm unable to access the MDW file, as far as I can make out. The only way that I can access security is through the wizard.....

If you haven't set up Access security, you are using a local default system.mdw, even if you don't see a login dialog. You only "access" the mdw when you join a workgroup or log into the database. What do you mean by "The only way that I can access security is through the wizard....."? That IS the way you get to security settings. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>
