    Importing Fox Pro (2002 (SP3))

I'm working with an application that stores the data in FoxPro format tables (dbf).

I'm able to import many of the tables into Access using the DBase 5( *dbf) format but some do not import - I get an error (Unexpected Error from external database driver - 10023).

Is there a Fox Pro import spec I can add to the Access Import procedures?

Re: Importing Fox Pro (2002 (SP3))

I get this same importing dbase files

The culprit is usually a bad date field.

    My solution is to:

    1. Fix the date fields in FoxPro if possible
    2. If not, in Access link to the table in question
    3. Open the table
    4. Sort each date field, this will error on the date column in error
    5. Then arrow down on the error date column until you error on the particular record
    6. Fix or make note of the record the date and repeat step 4

If someone has a better way, I would be interested.
