    Tabs in comments (2000 sp-3/ 98SE)

I'm using Ctrl+Tab to insert "whitespace" tabs into Comments. I notice that the first tab spacing is 7 characters long, but subsequent ones are 8 characters. In other words, pressing Ctrl+Tab three times will result in 7+8+8 spaces. I thought it might be due to using a scaleable font, but it's the same result for all fonts. Is this a bit of a quirk, or is it peculiar to my peculiar setup?

You had probably already typed one character. Ctrl+Tab takes you to the next multiple of 8 characters. If you hadn't typed anything yet, you'd have gotten 8 spaces, and if you had already typed 3 characters, Ctrl+Tab would have inserted 5 spaces.

Don't worry, be happy. The weekend has started for you, so have a drink (stirred, not shaken)
