    MS Office (2000 & 2003)

I have Office 2000 running just fine. I'd like to update Excel only
to the 2003 version. Has anybody done this successfully ?
I would update the whole suite but I don't like some of the
    functions in Outlook (most notably).

Thanks in advance for your time and have a great weekend.

I haven't done this myself, but it should work OK, except that you probably won't be able to send e-mails directly from Excel anymore.

But why do you want to upgrade Excel? The differences between Excel 2000, 2002 and 2003 are not exactly ground-breaking. Excel MVP John Walkenbach says "Of all the Office 2003 components, it seems that enhancing Excel received the lowest priority.", and "If Word and Excel play a large part in your upgrade decision, it's pretty much a no-brainer: Don't bother upgrading."
