VBA Help Files

How do you get access to the mainxl.hlp file, which is needed to get info on entries in the display of the "Worksheet Functions Available to Visual Basic" in EXCEL HELP, "Microsoft EXCEL Visual BAsic Reference". I did a full installation with EXCEL 97 and I don't got this file.

In my system (w95/e97SR2), both Xlmain8.hlp and Vbaxl8.hlp are in C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice. I think the page you're after is in the second of these.

Brooke:
Thanks. I did eventually find the MS article on this:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar...s/Q163/9/34.asp. Xlmain8.hlp, in XL97, is the same as mainxl.hlp, in older versions of XL?
Thanks

Re: VBA Help Files

Well, this msg just shows the power of Woody's Lounge...
Today, I reached terminal intensity of frustration with Microsoft and my IT Tech Support. I have been doing a low-grade search for this mainxl.hlp file since early February, on the Web and on the company's national WAN.
Many thanks for this post! Even though it's an "oldie", it is definitely a "goodie".
