Appointment time in Calendar (2003 SBE)

Recently when setting an appointment, when I click on the time, the drop down box disappears when I move the cursor into the area where I can pick the time.
I don't know how this started but it sure is frustrating.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Not sure I understand this.

First clicking on the date and then unchecking all-day event, enables a drop down box for time. Are you saying that the drop down box disappears while you are in it?

It would be great to see a "before and after" screenshot. I know that's a lot of work to set up, but it's hard to visualize exactly what is disappearing. Here's a "before" picture. Is that the box that disappears? What are you doing immediately prior to its disappearance?

Re: Appointment time in Calendar (2003 SBE)

I see my first post is not clear. The reply by jsher2000 shows the screen I am talking about. My problem also shows up in the 'recurrence' screen
Also, by 'time' I should have said the 'date'. When the date box drops down & I move pick a (date) time in the future, the box disappears before I am able to choose; immediately after I move my mouse to try to pick the (date)time, the box closes.
I have managed to get around this by right clicking on the mouse which keeps the drop down window open & I can complete the task or appointment date/time.

Have you by any chance installed something new on your machine lately? Just for clarification: does this happen on both the start date and end date drop-down boxes?

I installed PS Elements 3 recently but that is all.
Yes, it happens on both drop-down boxes.

Adobe add-ins can cause issues with Word and Excel, but I haven't heard of an Adobe application causing problems. Nonetheless, it could be worth trying to uninstall PS Elements to see whether the Outlook problem persists when it's no longer there.

I followed your advice & unistalled PS Elements 3; there is no change.
I also tried repair, which partially re-installed Office and advised that the errors had been prepared - I don't know what was repaired, but it sure wasn't the problem we've been discussing.
    Thanks for your help.

If this is the same problem mentioned before in <post#=445429>post 445429</post#> and <post#=271853>post 271853</post#>, no solution has been reported. You might try closing Outlook completely (close Outlook and all Outlook windows and any virus or PDA software that may hold Outlook open) and reopen Outlook from the Startup window with the '/cleanviews' switch as per <!mskb=296192>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 296192<!/mskb>.
