sharing violation problems (Excel 2003)
Once in a while I run into this very annoying problem. As I try to save a file, I receive a message that says 'file cannot be saved due to a sharing violation, please save with a different name' (I don't remember the exact message but that is pretty close). Then, a new file is automatically created with a filnename containing random numbers and letters (e.g. CCFC7020). I do not have this file opened anywhere else or over the network. It happens pretty randomly and basically I then have to close everything down, open the file created by excel and save it over the one that I was working on.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: sharing violation problems (Excel 2003)
Is your operating system Windows XP without SP-2? If so, see Program Opens a File As Read-Only or Returns a Sharing Violation or "Access Denied" Message When Opening from or Saving to a Network Folder.
Do you use Excel 2003 without SP-1? If so, see Description of the Excel 2003 hotfix package: April 12, 2004
