TOC Problem in Word 97

I'm having an odd TOC problem in Word 97 SR-2.

I've built a document using Word's built-in styles for the headings (Heading 1, Heading 2, et cetera). I've made some modifications, including adding additional styles ("Attachment Heading 1") into the mix. After some effort (!) the numbering in the document is correct.

But something's not working in the TOC. Word picks up the right styles and information, but does not display the number for one level. Heading 1 shows up properly. Heading 2 shows up with text only -- not the number (1.0, 2.0, et cetera). Heading 3 shows up properly ("1.1.2 Civil Engineering")

Any idea what's gone wrong?

Problem solved!

Somehow, the formatting had been set to Hidden in the Outline Gallery (Format > Style ....> Bullets and Numbering...) It was burried pretty deep in there, so it took a while to drill through to find it.
