    merge to email (2002)

I have just upgraded my computer with SP3 for Office 2002 (as well as SP2 for Windows XP). When I go to the Mail Merge Wizard, there is no longer an option to Merge to Email. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it connected to just Word, or could there be an IE/Outlook setting that affects this?

    Thanks,
    Diana

Do you mean that "E-mail messages" is missing from Step 1? (See screenshot, taken in Word 2002 SP3)

Yes, Hans, that is exactly what I mean. The option isn't even showing! Diana

Make sure that Outlook is set as your default e-mail application:
    - Start Internet Explorer.
    - Select Tools | Internet Options...
    - Activate the Programs tab.
    - Select Outlook (not Outlook Express) in the E-mail dropdown list.
    - Click OK.
You may have to log off then log on again for it to take effect, I'm not sure.
