    Signature block (2002/SP3)

After disabling Word as my email text editor to eliminate template issues, my automatic signature block is now double spaced. Where do I correct that back to single spacing?

    Select Tools | Options...
    Activate the Mail Format tab.
    Click Signatures...
Select the one you need, then click Edit...

    Hans,

I tried that, but I don't see any options for line spacing and the spacing looks like normal there.

If you click in Advanced Edit..., Word will be started to edit the signature. What is the style used for the signature?

    Re: Signature block (2002/SP3)

This has fixed it for me in all instances ...

Edit the message - instead of hitting enter at the end of each line, use ######t+enter. This is a line return instead of a paragraph return. The double-spacing tends to be with html messages and the way the message interprets the style in use. Shift+Enter seems to fix this.

I fixed it, Hans. I selected "plain text" for the mail format.

Also look at holdew's reply. That should work for HTML format messages.
