    Error Message:Network Connection Lost (2000)

I have a database and I've imported a module from another database that was worked on in 02. I imported into a 2000 db. I miss named it and wanted to delete it and it lets me delete from the object window, but when I go into design view of a different module I still see the miss named one listed here and then I right click on it to remove I get the message: Error Accessing file. Network connection may have been lost. I've compacted and repaired and am still getting the same message. I'm not sure how to get this module out of there so I can start over.
    Thanks,
    Deb

In such situations it's best to create a blank new database, and import all database objects you need from the problem database. You will have to
    - Set the startup options (if any) in Tools | Startup...
    - Set non-standard references (if any) in the Visual Basic Editor in Tools | References...

I was afraid of that. Thanks. Any idea as to why that happens?

Re: Error Message:Network Connection Lost (2000)

The error is not uncommon when you mix Access 2000 and later versions due to a conflict in the vbe6.dll versions installed for each. Take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;304548 for general info on the problem. Installing Office 2000 SP3 is supposed to have fixed that difficulty, but it won't recover your damaged 2000 database.

    Hans,
I've gotten this message again and did what you suggested. Created a blank db and then imported all items and I'm still getting the error message on the new db. Any other ideas?
    Thanks,
    Deb
