    OPEN FILE WINDOW (Office XP)

When I select PREVIEW as the desired view of my OPEN FILE window in MS Word I can scroll in the preview window to see down the length of the document.

However, when I select PREVIEW as the desired view of my OPEN FILE window in MS Excel, all I can see is the top left of the spreadsheet page and I cannot scroll down.

Does anyone know if there is some setting I can change so that PREVIEW on the Excel open file window acts the same as in Word?

    Thank you,
    BH Davis

No, as far as I know there is no option to change the way the preview in the File | Open dialog works. Did you expect consistency from Microsoft? <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
