    Outlook today (XP/SP3)

I opened Outlook this morning and Outlook Today was displayed as plain HTML (big font, no background etc). I tried customising Outlook Today with different styles but no difference. All the information is there and in the place it should be for the style chosen but it is just like the page had been written in standard HTML. I tried restarting Outlook and also rebooting but no luck. All other parts of Outlook (inbox, calendar etc) are OK. It is just the Outlook Today screen.

Any ideas - other than reinstalling Outlook?

    Thanks. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

    Re: Outlook today (XP/SP3)

You probably are seeing the results of changes to Internet Explorer's Accessibility Options. I've attached a (sorry, very wide) screen shot illustrating this effect. Depending on your requirements, you have the choice to do "deep" customization of Outlook Today (see old threads with links to Microsoft's materials on this) or change your options in IE's Tools>Internet Options... dialog, Accessibility button (or the Internet Options control panel, same dialog).

Note: This image is from Outlook 2003, but I think it has worked the same way for a long time...

Many thanks. I was reacting to a recommendation in the Windows Secrets newsletter and unchecked the 3 accessibility boxes. I use Firefox and not IE but, of course, IE sits under everything. Your suggestion worked a treat.

    Thanks again.

    Graeme.
