    Windows Explorer Split Screen (XP;SP2)

When using Windows Explorer the screen is split in two by default. The left side looking at folders and the right side folder contents. My issue is displaying the number of files in any folder that is selected on the left side. The number of files should be displayed at the bottom of the left window. I have seen some users displaying the files count at the bottom but I can not replicate on my pc.

This is not to be confused with selecting a folder in the left window and then right clicking and selecting properties.

    Any assistance would be appreciated,
    John

Do you display the status bar in Windows Explorer (View | Status Bar)?

    Hans,

That would do it. I thought it would have been a setting under Tools/Folder Options/View.

Who ever said, "You learn something new everyday" was right.

    Thanks,
