    moving contacts (Outlook 2003)

    Hi everyone,
I moved my .pst file to another outlook and when I go to write a new message - when clicking on the To: button, the contacts list is empty. Now when I go to the contacts tab all my contacts are there.
How do I get the contacts to appear in the contacts list when I click the To: button?

    Thank you,
    Craig

Have you right-clicked on the folder (in tree-view in the left-hand pane), selected Properties and chosen "show this folder as an Outlook Address Book"? HTH

I'm having the same problem. I can see this choice, and "Contacts" is listed, but it's disabled.

The Contacts list is empty when I'm creating or editing a message.

Have you tried Tools|E-mail Accounts|Directory - Add a new directory or address book? HTH

Maybe <post#=334705>post 334705</post#> will help both of you guys?

Yes, I dug a little further and found a post that explained it. I had briefly experimented with Exchange Server 2003 on a test basis, and I've been putting Duct Tape on things ever since. I broke one of my own rules: never experiment with my main development machine.

    Thanks for your reply.
