adding signature to pdf (word 2000)
Several years ago I scanned my signature into a word doc and have since used it extensively for emails - scanned stuff etc.
This morning I got a pdf file that I needed to sign and return. I printed - signed - scanned and returned. Started thinking - it would have been nice to electronically added to the pdf (in the right place) and return.
I have a current adobe reader and also have pdf995 for pdf creation.
Has anyone figured out a relatively straight forward way to do this?

When I used an old product called Acrobat Business Tools (related, I think, to version 4 of Acrobat), I could insert various kinds of annotations into an unprotected PDF file, as well as fill in and save PDF forms. I'm sure the full version 7 products have even more flexibility. On the other hand, with a protected file, you generally would not be able to insert a bitmap regardless of the product, unless you knew the password.
The pdf995 people offer some editing software that might help in your situation, and if you try it out, let us know whether it works. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
