    Windows 2000 Password

I help the local Humane Society by fixing donated old computers for resale at their Thrift Shop. We just received an old Packard Bell that has Windows 2000 on it. But it requires a password to actually startup Windows 2000. No password was provided by the folks who donated the system. I have tried the usual ones like ADMIN with no luck. Is there anyway to get around the password and input a different one. Would reinstalling Windows 2000 let me enter a different password? If I can not get into the system, I will need to format and start over. I will then need to identify the various components such as video card, sound card, modem etc.

    Thanks for your help.

Read this Forgot the Administrator's Password? There are links to five <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> tools at the bottom. But be sure to read the article first.
