Its not free, but it does have the advantage of backing up to standard zip files, therefore no problem in getting at the data (as once happened to me when I came to restore onto a new PC and the software to read the backup file didn't work with the new OS and wouldn't load).

    I really like Zip Backup. I have configured it for a small charity where I help out, so that they just have to double click an icon and it backs up everything essential directly to a CD-R, which the administrator takes home. Ideal for non-technical users.
