Access .IDB Files (Access 2002)

I having problems with an idb file; will not let me update; compact or repair the database. No one is currently in the database. Have any ways to delete or fix this file?

I assume that you mean an
.ldb
file. If it's on a network folder, ask the network administrator to do something about it.

The network administrator is the only person that can delete this file?

If
- you are absolutely sure that nobody has the database open, and
- you have full permissions in the folder containing the database, and yet
- you can't delete the .ldb file,
you can either wait until tomorrow (chances are the file has been released by then, so that you can delete it), or ask a network admin.

See Introduction to .ldb files in Access 2000 for some info about .ldb files.
