    Messages open behind the client window (2002 (XP))

    I have a user who seems to have turned on a hidden feature in her Outlook client.

    Whenever she opens a message, either new or one read previously, the message opens behind the main Outlook window, but in front of any other previously open windows. There doesn

    I have not heard of this. Often, when child windows open behind the active application window, the user has set "Don't let windows steal focus" (or a similar sounding setting) in TweakUI. But if it only happens in Outlook...

    Well, this is one of my more "interesting" users, as she does have things "happen" to her that just don't seem to happen to any other of the 60 users at work. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

    For anyone who happens to be following the thread. The problem just "went away". The windows are now opening as expected. I/we have no idea what caused either of these to happen. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>
