    Temporary Files - Word97

We have a word file that is over 82KB that contains over 3,000 "hyperlinks"....the file is not created directly in word; however, processed thru another system.

Is there a limitation on how many hyperlinks Word97 can contain?

What happens is that we are running out of memory when trying to process the file. The process uses the c:temp directory, processes the hyperlinks and that is when we get the error message.

    Any ideas?

The error message you are getting may have nothing to do with memory. It is Word's catch-all error message and really should say "Oops! We've run into a situation that Word's programmers didn't anticipate or couldn't handle before release. Sorry."

What do you mean by "process the file?"
