    Windows configures dialog (2003)

I'm asking this question for a friend because I know nothing about Excel! <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/giggle.gif>

He sent his PC in for repair and when he got it back he said he gets this dialog box (see screenshot below) displayed every time he opens Excel. After whatever is happening finishes, the program seems to function normally. Can someone explain what this dialog is about? I thought a file might have been accidentally deleted or something got corrupted, so I had him to a "Detect and Repair" but that didn't work. But it doesn't seem logical that he should see this every time he opens the program.

See if the thread starting at <post#=371489>post 371489</post#> helps (although it is for Office 2000, not 2003).
