    WinFax icon (2002 SP-2)

Why do I have a "Print to Winfax" icon on my Word toolbar, I wonder? I had WinFax 10 on my computer at one time, but I did a reformat and reinstall of Windows XP, and I'm not absolutley positive, but I'm pretty sure I didn't reinstall WinFax (mostly because XP choked on it for some reason). Does Word automatically put this icon on the toolbar? How do I get rid of it?

To remove the button from the toolbar:

    Select Tools | Customize...
Drag the "Print to WinFax" button away from the toolbar until an x appears next to the mouse pointer, then release the mouse button.
    Close the Customize dialog.

Whilst the dialog box is displayed, open Word's File menu and drag the no-longer-wanted entry away from the menu, until the X appears, then release the mouse button.

    Hello Stuart:

Thanks for your answer, however, it was a matter of just finding the Normal.dot; renaming Oldnormal.dot closing the window. I reopened Word, and the "Winfax" icon was gone from the "File Menu"

    Thanks Stuart
