Conditional Formating using check boxes (97)

I would like to know if there is a way to change the color of a cell next to a check box.

Re: Conditional Formating using check boxes (97)

    Lania,

Yes. I used the control toolbox to create a checkbox and linked it to a cell under the checkbox. In the conditional format, I used Formula Is =B6=TRUE. B6 was the linked cell. If the checkbox is not checked, cell color is normal. If the checkbox is checked the cell with the conditional format changes color. Hope this helps.

    Chuck,
Thanks for the help, butttttttttttt the cell linked to the check box will only show "True" or "False". I have even gone in and tried to put in Formula Is=B6=All (which is what is in the cell that I want to highlight, but nothing happens.

    Any other suggestions?

The data validation is looking for "True" in the cell that is linked. I am attaching the workbook. I have moved the Checkbox so it no longer covers the linked cell. The linked cell can be anywhere on the sheet.
