    a W with a line above it (OfficeXP SP3)

    Hi

    I need to get a W with a line above it. I need to write text before the W & after the W . pls see screen dump below.
    any ideas?

    Hi Diana,

    You can easily do this with an equation field:
    . Create a field by pressing Ctrl-F9. This will create a pair of field braces '{ }'.
    . Between the field braces, type: 'EQ sup6(f(,W))' (without the quote characters), so that you get '{EQ sup6(f(,W))}'.
    . Press F9 to update.
    This works fine for 11-12pt text in Arial or Times New Roman. Depending on the font/point size you're using, you might want to change the '6' in the field. Increasing increases the space above the letter, and vice-versa. To change the result, select the field and press Shift-F9 to expand the field coding. When you're done, press F9 again to update.

    PS: You could instead use a field coded as {EQ xto(W)}, but this increases the vertical spacing for the affected line.
