I am creating Word documents that must have hyperlinks... some links will be to other Word documents, some will be to web sites, and some will be to Table captions within the SAME Word document.
The first 2 were easy to create. Initially they are blue and underlined text; when clicked they open the other Word doc or web site and the text changes color. How do I establish links that behave like this within the SAME Word document?
I have tried using cross-references but the text is not blue and underlined to begin with. I tried to force it by using the character style Hyperlink, but the style only remains constant on the "See" of "See Table 1" (Table 1 being the cross reference field). When I print the document, the hyperlink style (blue, underlined that will change color when clicked) disappears from "Table 1." Bookmarks did not seem to work because of the limitation of naming the bookmarks (cannot use spaces). I am hoping there is an obvious, easy answer that I am missing as I have a few of these to do!!
TIA,
Georgette
