    Tracking Users (Office 2003)

I've been given a project both my boss and myself feel is a waste of time (we all have those now and then). His boss, however, thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. The boss wants to give the spreadsheet to the intended users as a "gift." None of those intended users know of the project (I've asked some of them in confidence), and they've told me they would not use it if it is created.

Is there a way to track who opens an Excel spreadsheet and when? My boss and I would like to show his boss that the file, while well intended, simply isn't what users want or will use.

    Thanks!
