    Insert File dialog box (6 - xpsp_sp2)

I would like to know how to set a default view of the "Insert File Dialog Box". I want to see "Details" (and not List) and I want the files to be sorted in alphabetical order. This "Insert File dialog box" is also used in Word and many other MS Office softwares.

    Thanks

Make this changes as your Default in My Computer and they should be the default in ALL programs.

Remember to apply to ALL folders, and then if you make any changes to ANY folders then that folder will appear as changed in the Insert pane.

    Hello,

I made the change in My Computer (Details instead of List) and apllied it to All Folders. It does not seem to bw picked up by Word or Outlook (??) Do you have an idea why?

    Thanks

Are you saving and opening from the "My Documents" folder?
If so, check the folder using My Documents or My Computer and make sure the folder is in the detail mode.
