    Access Custom Outlook Fields from Access (XP/Office 2003 SP1)

    I have a form in Access that can create, edit & delete meetings within Outlook. I have created a custom field within Outlook in a new form with IPM.Appointment class and wish to be able to access that field from within Access.

    So far, code such as
    ......
    Dim curAppt As Outlook.AppointmentItem

    ........
    Set curAppt = olAppts.Find("[Start] >= """ & strStart & """ And [Start] <= """ & strEnd & """")
    finds all the appointments for a certain date

    I would like to be able to find the value for that custom field. Right now, when trying to access this custom field, I get the error message

    "Run Time error 478
    Object doesn't support this property or method"

    which I suspect means that I haven't included the custom field into the object class of IPM.Appointment, if I can do that at all anyway.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you

    Robin

    Re: Access Custom Outlook Fields from Access (XP/Office 2003 SP1)

    The answer is probably not to be found in Access, since it is an Outlook VBA problem, but does <post#=306030>post 306030</post#> help?
