    Outlook Contacts

I'd like to write VBA code to export the selected Outlook Contacts in the active folder to a data file. I'm familiar with VBA, but I'm new to Outlook and its object model. Where do I begin? I see that there are wizards for exporting purposes, but I'd like this to be completely transparent to the user.

    Thanks,
    Richard Barrett

i don't think the export process per say is accessable from the object model. you'll need to use ado to control it instead.

I'm not familiar with ado. Can you tell me something about it?

    Thanks.

Try looking here (http://www.helenfeddema.com/Code Samples.htm). There's some good codes to get you started.

i give up <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> i think the url may never be clickable. if this doesn't work, append sample.htm in the address bar.
