    Relocate selected cell with macro (2000 sp3)

    All,
    I am in need of relocating the selected cell from one cell to position 'A1' before a certain piece of a macro runs. This needs to assume the selected cell could be anywhere in the spreadsheet and needs to relocate to A1.

    thanks,
    Brad

    The following instruction will cut the selection and paste it in A1:

    Selection.Cut Destination:=Range("A1")

    Warning: if more than one cell is selected, they will all be moved.
    Note: in many macros, it is not necessary to work with the Selection.

    Hans,
    Would this work without moving any data? I just need to ensure the active cell is A1. I already have information in the cell.

    Is this what you're after?

    Range("A1").Select
