Update Date field from a macro (2000)

Wondering for a quick bit of assistance. I have a macro which does a mailmerge letter in word. after the code for the merge I want to send the current date to a date field within the form. The date field is called ddsent and the form is called frmProperty
    Best Regards,

I presume you are talking about a date field within the Access database that serves as the data source for your merge. In that case, I would suggest you run an update query immediately following the merge code. Unless of course you are running one letter at a time, in which case you could simply set the value on the form (assuming that the form is bound to the table where the data is stored). The line of code to use would look something like:
    <font face="Georgia"><font color=blue>
    Me!ddsent = Date</font face=georgia></font color=blue> or alternatively
    <font face="Georgia"><font color=blue>Forms!frmProperty!ddsent = Date</font face=georgia></font color=blue>
