    Run-time Error 1004; General ODBC Error (2000/2002)

I've created a VBA procedure that creates several database queries pulling from another Excel spreadsheet. I got it to work in Excel 2002 on Windows 2000, but when I ran it on a couple different machines using Win XP/ Excel 2000, I got a: "Run-time Error 1004; General ODBC Error". Is there any reason the version of Office or Windows would cause this when using MS Query?
I also get problems when I use a different set of records in my Excel data list (the source data) even if it has the exact same file name, column headings and named range.

    Any ideas?

Maybe the offending machines don't have the proper ODBC drivers installed? Check in control panel, ODBC.
