    Sanitize USB Maxtor One Touch

I need to sanitize 7 Maxtor One Touch 250 gig USB 2 / FIrewire drives and wonder if there is a utility or a sanitize program that will let me specify this drive rather than forcing me to boot the PC and clean the default drive.

Anyone know of such an app?

    Thanks,

If by sanitize you mean securely erase information, check out the results of Google Search: secure erase. Also, check out Google Search: secure disk format.

Thank you but I am trying to avoid wading through all those programs that want me to boot from a floppy and which do not allow me to select the USB drive without zapping the primary hard drive.

Most of what I am finding as a result of my earlier searches appears to be what we do not need or want.

I may try White Canyon's MediaWiper which states it is able to wipe USB devices.

While the free "Eraser" product worked, I did purchase and use Media Wiper which worked well for both sanitizing the USB drive and formatting.
