emailing an excel project (microsoft excel)

Today I got a message that is new to me. While I was trying to email a roster to another person and I click 'Send as an attachment" icon and then hit the send button and then I would get the "operation failed" message. Thank you for your time.

It would be helpful if you provided more info:
    - Which version of Excel are you using?
    - Which e-mail application are you using? (Outlook, Outliook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, ...)
    - Does the problem persist or was it a one-time error?
    - If it persists, does it occur just with one particular spreadsheet, or with all spreadsheets you try to send?
    - Does the same problem occur when you try to send from Word?

Could you try sending a document from Word? If you do, does it work?

That's very nice, but the question why you can't send from Excel remains...

Or create the e-mail in Outlook and insert the roster as attachment.

You might try Jan Karel's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL,290455>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL<!/post>. Particularly try those items that have to do with XLStart. I suspect that you may have something in XLStart that is interfering with Send.
