    Changing Multipage Colour (Office 2003)

    Can anyone help?

I am trying to "make pretty" a userform in Word using VBA. I have the ability to change the BackColor and ForeColor of most controls but am experiencing problems with the Multipage control. I would like to change the color of the control but do not have the option to select the BackColor of the actual Page ie:

    me.Multipage1.Pages(1).BackColour = RGB (250, 250, 250)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Jack

You cannot change the background color of a page of a MultiPage control. If you look at built-in dialogs such as File | Page Setup... or Tools | Options..., you'll notice that the background color of all tabs is always the same.
If you really want to customize the way the pages look, you can either use the Picture property of the pages, or put Image controls on them.

Yabbut (see? I can sound like a Canadian!), The Appearance tab in the Display Properties dialogue does effect a change in the dialogs you mentioned.

Trouble is, it applies to all tabs, so presumably there's no way to change individual tabs, and it is probably read by Word at the time Word loads.

    Still, there's a chance .......

    Right, right, and right (grin!)

    >and that is not possible except by using images.
.... and even then, while the "'sheet" portion changes, the little tab appears inviolate (as distinct from in violet)

I was aware of that, but changing the button face color in the Display Settings control panel will not only affect the color of tab pages, but all kinds of elements in ALL applications. One application shouldn't change such system-level settings. Moreover, I assumed that the poster wanted to give individual tabs different colors, and that is not possible except by using images.
