    Acrobat 7 (access 2k)

I have a database that I use to store links to PDF's that are created in Adobe Acrobat. I created it using some code I believe I found posted here. This was done in version Acrobat 5.0. I created a form with an activex control that opened the link in Acrobat Reader. We recently upgraded to version 7.0 of Acrobat Reader and now the activex control does not function. Does anyone have some sample code for opening PDFs with the new version activex control?

    Try the following:
    - Make a backup copy of the database
    - Write down the relevant properties of the ActiveX control.
    - Delete it.
    - Create it anew.
    - Give the new control the same name as the old one.
    - Set the relevant properties.

I tried that and got an error: "File does not begin with '%PDF-'."

Does that happen when you create the control or when you run the code? If the latter, please post the code you're using.

    Re: Acrobat 7 (access 2k)

Hans, it happens when I run the code. I have been checking the Adobe support forums and it would appear that I was using an unsupported activex. Adobe has removed that "feature". I will do some more research and if I get it working then I will post the new code. Thanks for your help.
