    Formula (Excel 2002)

    Hi

    I need a little help with this please

    =IF(ISBLANK(K7),"",IF(K7>g7,"Higher than list"),(G7-K7)/(g7))

    If K7 is blank the nothing, if K7 is > G7 then "Higher than list" if neither apply then execute the fomula (G7-K7)/(G7))

    Many Thanks

    Re: Formula (Excel 2002)

    You could try:

    =IF(ISBLANK(K7)=TRUE,"",IF(K7>G7,"Higher than list",(G7-K7)/G7))

    There is no need to explicitly compare to "TRUE" The test itself will yield a True/false

    This is identical to your formula and shorter:
    <pre>=IF(ISBLANK(K7),"",IF(K7>G7,"Higher than list",(G7-K7)/G7))</pre>

    You were very close, You had 2 extra parentheses:

    =IF(ISBLANK(K7),"",IF(K7>g7,"Higher than list"<font color=red>)</font color=red>,(G7-K7)/<font color=red>(</font color=red>g7))
