Conditional formatting (Access 2003)

Hello,

I would like to use the conditional formatting option to make a date field on a form appear differently if the date shown is in the past i.e. before the current date. I have inserted an active x calender (showing the current date) and the date and time in to the form but am unsure how to incorporate either of these in to conditional formatting.

Grateful for any help.

Thanks

Select the text box bound to the date field.
Select Format | Conditional Formatting.
In the dropdown list under Condition 1, select Value Is (this is the default), in the dropdown list next to it, select Is Less Than, and in the box next to it, enter
Date()
.
Set the formatting you like, for example the background color.
Click OK.
