    Compound Annual Growth Rate? (2000)

    Has anyone developed a VBA function for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR)? Is there a clever way to use the existing Excel worksheet functions to return a compound annual growth rate?
    I have a client who wants to use such a function RIGHT AWAY... Any ideas? Many thanks...

    You can use almost any worksheet function in Excel VBA through the Application.WorksheetFunction object, e.g.

    Dim dblReturn As Double
    dblReturn = Application.WorksheetFunction.Fv(...)

    but VBA itself also has a whole range of financial functions, such as Fv, IRR etc. To find out about them, type Fv in the Visual Basic Editor (for example in the Immediate window) and press F1. Click See Also for related functions.
