combine data from 3 tables (2002)

Your requirements are contradictory, as far as I can see.

Thanks Hans. I see what you mean. I have patients being booked into either beds 1, 2 or 3 (three separate tables). in each table there's a check box that is checked if the patient doesn't show for their appointment. would like to be able to show, on one form, those patients who didn't show, then have another check box on that form (called: 'follow-up completed' for example) that would remove the patient from the form when checked off. Maybe i'll just need to work with 3 separate forms. Van

Why do you have separate tables for each bed? If you combine the records into one table, with an extra field specifying the bed, you can filter this table in various ways - all patients for a specific bed, or all patients who didn't show up, or ...
